Description

The Pure Neutralizer is a solvent-based, non-toxic solution designed for ophthalmic lenses. It effectively removes unwanted or damaged tints quickly and efficiently.

Lenses can be safely re-tinted and recoated after treatment.

Directions for Use

Pour the liquid into a dye pot and heat to standard tinting temperature.
Place the lens, mounted on a lens holder, into the heated solution.
Check the lens every few minutes and remove it once the tint is completely removed.
Rinse thoroughly with water and dry.

Caution

If you are unsure about compatibility with high-index lenses, testing is recommended, as the neutralizer may affect certain hard coatings.

Some polycarbonate and high-index lenses may develop a frosted appearance when exposed to standard neutralizers (in such cases, a surfactant-type neutralizer is recommended).
To test, dip a small corner of the lens (approximately 1 mm) into the solution for a few seconds. If any adverse reaction occurs—such as the coating turning milky white—the damage will be limited to a small area that can be removed during edging.

Although the liquid does not cause immediate irritation on skin contact, proper caution should always be exercised. Avoid direct contact with all chemical materials. Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are available upon request.

Do not use this product as a substitute for MICRO TINT REMOVER in a microwave oven, as the emitted fumes may be toxic and harmful to the liver and kidneys.

Disposal

Dispose of used Neutralizer in accordance with local regulations.
A recommended method is to collect the used liquid in sealed plastic containers (e.g., 1-gallon bottles). Once full, dispose of them through a certified chemical waste service or at designated municipal hazardous waste collection events.
